How to cancel Google One
Cancel your Google One subscription in 3 steps, stop the next charge, and what happens to your access.
You cancel Google One on its own account page (one.google.com), in 3 steps. If you pay through the App Store or Google Play, cancel there instead. You normally keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
Cancel Google One, step by step
- Open one.google.com and go to Settings.
- Select Cancel membership and confirm.
- Storage above the free tier becomes read-only, not deleted.

Subscribed through the App Store or Google Play?
Then Google One can't cancel it for you: the store bills you, so you cancel there.
- iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Google One → Cancel Subscription.
- Android: Google Play → your profile → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions → Google One → Cancel subscription.
Paid with UPI AutoPay?
Cancelling stops Google One renewing, but the AutoPay mandate can stay in your UPI app. Revoke it so nothing is taken by mistake:
- Open the UPI app you used (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm or your bank's app).
- Find AutoPay (often under your profile or settings, sometimes called Mandates).
- Choose the Google One mandate, tap Cancel or Revoke, and confirm with your UPI PIN.
A cancellation email you can copy
If Google One's page won't let you cancel, send this to their support through their help page or chat:
Subject: Please cancel my Google One subscription Hello, Please cancel my Google One subscription on the account registered to this email address, with effect from the end of the current billing period, and confirm by email. Please do not renew or charge me again. Thank you.
Questions
Will I get a refund if I cancel Google One?
Usually not for the period you've already paid for: you keep access until it ends. Some services refund on request in the first few days; ask Google One's support if you were charged by mistake.
Does deleting the Google One app cancel it?
No. Deleting an app never cancels a subscription. Cancel on the account page, or in the App Store or Google Play if you subscribed there.
How do I stop Google One charging me again?
Cancel using the steps above, then check your next statement. If you set up UPI AutoPay, revoke the mandate in your UPI app too.
